Toddler Time Yoga

Toddler yoga class is a playful and interactive experience designed to introduce young children, typically between the ages of 1 and 4, to the basics of yoga through simple movements, breathing exercises, and mindfulness activities. These classes are usually short (15–30 minutes) to accommodate toddlers' shorter attention spans and are structured around engaging themes, stories, or songs to keep them entertained while practicing.

In toddler yoga, the focus is not on achieving perfect poses, but on encouraging movement, coordination, and self-expression. Activities may include:

  • Animal Poses: Simple, fun poses like "downward dog," "cat-cow," or "butterfly" to mimic animals, helping with flexibility and body awareness.

  • Breathing Techniques: Toddlers may practice deep breathing, often with fun imagery (e.g., pretending to blow out a candle or take a "dragon breath").

  • Balance and Coordination: Easy balance exercises, such as standing on one foot or stretching, help develop motor skills.

  • Playful Songs and Rhymes: Incorporating music and movement, where the child can dance or move in rhythm, builds body awareness and social skills.

  • Mindfulness and Relaxation: Gentle stretches and quiet moments where toddlers can relax and focus, helping to calm their minds and bodies.

Toddler Time Art

Toddler art classes are designed to introduce young children, typically ages 1.5 to 4, to the world of creativity through hands-on exploration with various art materials and techniques. These classes emphasize fun, open-ended activities that help toddlers develop fine motor skills, sensory awareness, and early cognitive abilities while expressing themselves artistically. The primary goal is not to produce perfect art pieces, but to foster imagination, experimentation, and a love for creative play.

Activities may include:

  • Finger painting: A messy, fun activity where toddlers can explore colors and textures with their hands.

  • Clay play: Soft, moldable clay for squishing and creating simple shapes or just for sensory enjoyment.

  • Stamping and printing: Using sponges, stamps, or even hands and feet to make prints.

  • Collage making: Gluing various materials like fabric, buttons, or tissue paper onto a base to create a textured, layered artwork.

  • Drawing and Scribbling: Simple doodles, drawing with crayons or markers, and practicing lines, shapes, and colors.
