Dynamic Education Studio Contract for Private Music Lessons

Private Music Lesson Agreement

The service agreement (the “Agreement”) is made by and between Parent/Guardian and Dynamic Education for the purpose of providing lessons to student as contained herein. Please review this agreement carefully as it contains important information relating to lessons. This agreement shall be effective the date this form is completed.

LOCATION

All lessons and classes will be held at Dynamic Education in Cape Coral (4409 SE 16th Place, Cape Coral, FL 33904 #10B).

PRIVATE LESSONS FEE AND PAYMENT

Lessons are $65.00 per hour (or $35.00 per half hour), weekly. We accept debit or credit cards per the online booking option through the website (Dynamiceducationstudio.com) or cash and checks made out to Dynamic Education in person. Lessons can be paid using one of the the following options:

1. Monthly Bundle Option: Paid at the rate of $65 per hour or $35 per half hour, paid monthly at the first lesson of the month. Unless Dynamic Education cancels a lesson, these lessons expire at the end of the month and must be used within the same month. New bundles must be purchased at the beginning of the following month on the 1st. Bundles will be prorated if the studio is closed during any holidays or breaks (Ex: Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, Spring break). The monthly option allows you to reserve your spot and also receive $10 off monthly for choosing this option.

2. Pay Per Lesson as you go: Lessons can be paid at the beginning of a scheduled lesson. The lessons can be scheduled and paid in person using cash or check made out to “Dynamic Education”.

3. We accept the Step up for Student Scholarships for all Private lessons. You can pay directly through the Marketplace online.

IN HOME PRIVATE LESSONS FEE AND PAYMENT

Lessons are $85 per hour (or $55.00 per half hour), weekly. We accept debit or credit cards per the online booking option through the website (Dynamiceducationstudio.com) or cash and checks made out to Dynamic Education in person. Lessons can be paid using one of the the following options:

1. Monthly Bundle Option: Paid at the rate of $330 monthly for 4 hour lessons or $210 monthly for 4 half hour lessons, paid monthly at the first lesson of the month. Please plan in advance when choosing this option because lessons are typically scheduled at the same day and time every week. The monthly option allows you to reserve your spot and also receive $10 off monthly for choosing this option.

2. Pay Per Lesson as you go: Lessons can be paid at the beginning of a scheduled lesson. The lessons can be scheduled and paid online, in person using cash or a check made out to “Dynamic Education”.

3. We accept the Step up for Student Scholarships for all Private lessons. You can pay directly through the Marketplace online

ATTENDANCE

Any lesson a student cannot attend requires 24 hours notice to Dynamic Education. If a student fails to attend a scheduled lesson without giving 24 hours notice, the lesson will not be rescheduled and the full fee will be charged. If a student is ill and cannot attend, please notify us by 9:00 AM the day of the lesson. Failure to do so will result in full lesson fee charge. Lessons missed with proper notice will be rescheduled if an open time slot is available. Other emergencies and family matters will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

MAKE-UP LESSONS

Make-up lessons may be scheduled for an absence in which Dynamic Education was properly notified of. Make-up lessons do not carry over or credit into the next monthly payment. If a make-up lesson is scheduled, the rescheduled lesson will count for the month in which it was paid. If a make-up lesson cannot be rescheduled due to conflicts with either party, the lesson will be forfeited.

TEACHER MISSED LESSONS

If the instructor needs to miss a lesson due to a performance or self/family illness, Dynamic Education will reschedule it at the student’s convenience. If we are unable to do so, payment from that lesson will be credited towards the next bill.

FLOATERS/WAITLIST

When there is an overload (too many students and not enough open spots), we will have students known as “floaters”. These students will be emailed about any openings as soon as possible. Be sure to check your email often as these are first come first served.

INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS

Students are required to provide their own instruments. Piano students are encouraged to have a piano or keyboard at home to practice on, but we understand if this is not feasible. All lesson students should have a notebook, pencil, method book recommended by the teacher, and any music from school (band music, marching band, all-state, all county) that they would like to work on.

SHEET MUSIC

Dynamic Education is able to provide some copies of music for lessons, however, any method books/original copies of music must be purchased by the student/parent prior to an audition or performance.

MULTI-SIBLING DISCOUNT (self-pay only)

If you are interested in enrolling more than one child, we gladly provide a multi sibling discount. Siblings will receive $10 off of their lesson cost. For example, if you have two children each taking a half hour piano lesson, you will pay a total of $60 ($35 + $25). Weekly lessons are highly recommended to retain information and progress on your instrument. Please note that the $10 monthly bundle discount does not apply for additional siblings.

MUSICALS, ATHLETICS, AND SCHOOL RELATED EVENTS

It is your responsibility to inform us of any school and performance related events that will conflict with your regularly scheduled lesson. Lessons missed during “tech week” rehearsals for school performances are considered excused. Dynamic Education should be notified of these prior to making your monthly payment. I encourage and support our students in their participation in the various musical and athletics programs. However, there are times when these events can become problematic with lessons due to the demanding rehearsal schedule and practices. If a student chooses to participate in these after school and community events and it becomes necessary to miss lessons, Dynamic Education suggests the following options:

● Make arrangements with the teacher, director, or coach to miss the rehearsal/practice for your lesson time each week. Let them know you must pay for missed lessons.

● Continue to pay monthly as stated above in the missed lesson policy to hold your spot in the studio until rehearsals are no longer a conflict.

● Give up your lesson spot and be placed on the waiting list or reschedule when you are ready to continue. Once the activity is complete you will be given a spot when one becomes available.

VISITORS AT LESSONS

We ask that parents sit in the lobby during their child’s lesson or they may leave and run errands for the 1/2 hour or hour. High School students with a valid license may drive themselves to their lesson, with parent permission.

DISCONTINUATION

If the student and parent/guardian desire to discontinue private lessons, the student will receive lessons through the end of the paid month. At the end of the month, lessons will discontinue, and the student will forfeit their lesson time. No refund will be given for lessons which were already paid for. We reserve the right to discontinue lessons, at any point, due to inappropriate or disrespectful behavior.
